About Me

About Me

Hey, I’m Peter 👋

I’m a software engineer 💻, writer ✍️, and builder 🛠️ who values clarity over complexity, people over process, and impact over noise. I've spent over a decade helping teams ship meaningful products—sometimes as a developer, sometimes as a manager, but always as someone asking why before jumping into the how.

I write about engineering, leadership, design, and everything in between. Most of what you’ll find here is based on hard-earned lessons from the job, side projects I’ve launched, or the occasional realization that hits when I’m two hours deep into a code refactor 🔄 or a late-night writing sprint 🌙.

I believe in:

  • Building with purpose, not just polish 🎯
  • Simplifying until things make sense 🧩
  • Sharing the mic (and the knowledge) 🎙️
  • Treating feedback as a gift, not a threat 🎁
  • Saying the quiet part out loud 🗣️

When I’m not coding or writing, I’m probably:

  • Cleaning up my reef tank 🐠
  • Training in martial arts 🥋
  • Trying to sneak in a workout before someone yells “Dad!” from the other room 🏋️‍♂️👨‍👧‍👦

This blog is my way of giving back—sharing what I’ve learned, what I’ve questioned, and what I’m still figuring out. If it helps you skip a mistake I made or make a better one on purpose, then I’m doing something right. 🙌

Thanks for stopping by 💬
